Man City defender ‘wants Irons move’

Bacary Sagna is reportedly keen to make a move to the London Stadium this summer.

Hammers boss Slaven Bilic is desperately keen to solve his right back problem but whether he will bee the former Arsenal star as the answer at 34 remains to be seen.

The Bagna option was first raised a couple of weeks ago and according to media reports tonight (Thurs) the player is keen to make the move back to the capital.

Sagna is unlikely to be offered a new deal at Manchester City with Pablo Zabaleta on board and at £60k a week wages and no transfer fee involved looks an option.

Bilic, however, refused to be drawn on targets when questioned in his presser ahead of the weekend game  this morning.

He explained: “We are totally focused on Bournemouth and the rest of the season – that can wait until later.”

However, one thing is sure – we we reported here yesterday (Wed) – Sam Byram’s position at the club looks more and more uncertain!

  1. Plenty of Exp.could defo show our defence a way forward.COME TO DADDY!

  2. Got to be honest not being a Citeh fan i aint seen much of him over the last year or two.He definately has plenty of experience though.

  3. At 34 ?? Not at that age in my opinion. Why do they all want to come to West Ham at the end of their careers for the final pay cheque? Move on.

  4. Only worth buying to plug the gap for 1 or 2 seasons and to teach Byram if he stays. Cant knock Sagna he is absolute top top quality and fit as a fiddle for his age much like Defoe. Would prefer to see Trippier brought in though.

  5. Steer well clear imo

  6. Can’t see this happening. Surely we are past buying 34 year olds looking for one final pay day?

  7. Youre a bloody ageist young John.Show some respect to us old’uns lol
I would take Sagna on a one year,he has bags of experience and still cuts it as far as i have seen.I dont have a total aversion to signing anyone over 28 because they are see as past it though lol
