Manchester City fans are seeing the Saturday clash against the Irons as a ‘ make or break match.’
And it’s being suggested that anything other than a win over their fourth placed tile rivals (I enjoyed that 🙂 ) could well see the knives come out for Manuel Pellegrini and his staff,
The Champions Cup draw against CSKA was not exactly what was required and another ‘failure’ at The Boleyn could see big repercussions
A survey of the City independent fan websites shows an acute air of anxiety as the Boleyn match comes closer and that is summed up probably best in this comment.
“We only have a few days to recover dust ourselves down and go again in a game which IMO could make or break the season.
“After the disappointing result if not performance against CSKA, we absolutely must beat West Ham. If we don’t we could finish weekend eight points behind Chelsea and the knives will be out for City and for Pellegrini.
“Bearing that in mind I suspect that there was probably a plan to rest Kun/Silva on Saturday with the minutes they’ve had to play recently. However IMO that won’t happen now. “
