David Moyes is facing a huge test in attempting to keep the Hammers in the Premier League this season but Erik Ten Hag reckons the Scot may have faced an even bigger one at Manchester United
The latest United boss has been talking of his admiration for Moyes adding that he was glad it wasn’t him who was tasked with trying to replace Ferguson.
Moyes will tonight be looking to get one over on the club and Ten Hag as the Hammers aim for salvation points at the London Stadium.
And the Old Trafford boss believed he has a very tough task indeed to overcome a team managed by a man for whom he has much admiration.
Moyes has had an awful time this season despite receiving continued support from the board and will be after a big win to finally end all sorts of pressure.
Speaking ahead of the game Ten Hag said: “It is quite clear that when you have to succeed Sir Alex, that is a big challenge and a really difficult job to do.
“He did it and had the bravery to do it, that is why I admire him. He is also that long in the job already with many clubs in the Premier League.
He is a great manager with a lot of skills. I know my team has to be at their best on Sunday, and we have to play our maximum if we want to get the result we need, which is a win.”
