Manchester United legend Andy Cole has urged the club to cash in on Jesse Lingard this summer!
The attacking midfielder continued his genuinely unbelievable run of form on Sunday.
In a topsy-turvy clash with Leicester, Lingard scored twice, as the Irons won 3-2 to move one step closer to a top-four finish.
Lingard now has eight goals and four assists in just nine Premier League games, having not played a single minute for United this season prior to his move.
Cole thinks that his form should be enough to earn him a move and believes that it would be best for both the Red Devils and the midfielder to part ways this summer.
He told talkSPORT: “The opportunity for him to go on loan to West Ham came at a fantastic time. He’s taken it with both hands.
“Now Manchester United have a decision to make. Take him back or sell him in the summer for a little bit more money than was expected?
“I think if I was Manchester United, I would move him on. And if I was Jesse I would want to go and play games. Definitely.”
Cole spent six years at United as a player, before moving on to join Blackburn. In total, he won five Premier League titles at Old Trafford, along with two FA Cups and, of course, the Champions League.
He knows what he’s talking about!
