Manchester duo reported keen on Hammers moves

Manchester duo – City’s Nathan Ake and Jesse Lingard – are claimed to be at the top of David Moyes’ winter wish list by the Daily Star.

They claim, that according to reports elsewhere, the pair are keen on a move to the London Stadium but as is is usually the case there are no quotes from either player.

Should Ake be keen it means that former City scout Rob Newman – now head of recruitment at the Hammers – will have returned to his former club from whom he was given gardening leave after deciding to join David Moyes and his team at the London Stadium.

Twenty five year old Ake has made just four appearances for City this season along with three Champions League appearances.

Lingard, meanwhile, remains a player liked by David Moyes but the managerial situation at Old Trafford is such that the 28 year old may choose to wait and see whether he returns to favour before the end of his season when his contract runs out.
