West Ham can expect another mega-money bid for central defender Jean-Clair Todibo from Manchester United this summer.
Claret & Hugh reported earlier this week that the Old Trafford club were preparing a second approach—and that now appears to have been confirmed by Manchester World.
The Hammers previously rejected a January proposal from United to complete Todibo’s loan signing from Nice and immediately flip his registration for a quick profit. At the time, the player made it clear he wanted to stay at West Ham, and a senior London Stadium source confirmed to C&H that he was in the manager’s plans.
However, Todibo was left on the bench for yesterday’s 1-0 Premier League defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers—something that will no doubt fuel further speculation about his future.
Reports today suggest Manchester United will return with an offer in the region of £45 million in the summer.
The former Barcelona defender has impressed in flashes since arriving in East London, and while West Ham still hold an obligation to buy, the decision may now hinge on whether Todibo features more regularly. As far as the club are concerned, he remains very much in their plans and reading between the lines, I’d expect a £45m transfer bid to be rejected.
sorry, he’s quality and we’d be bonkers to sell him. i believe he can grow to be a great defender for us after a very turbulent 1st season. and the profit seems negligable. how many players do we want to replace in the transfer window? ALL of them?
Profit , barely , paid 35 million plus 5 million wages equals 40 million and then sell him for 45 million . This is not a good proposition if Todibo is in Potters future planning . If he’s truly a big six defender then 60 million is more like it .

The Manchester United current hierarchy is an inefficient one and have not learnt from their past mistakes.
According to media reports, they want to bring back David de Gea to be the GK to replace Andre Onana, but it will not be a solution to the problem as de Gea has not been playing competitively ever since he was unceremoniously dumped by Erik ten Hag in 2023, even though he may still do a decent job. But it will not suffice.
Please go for a goalkeeper in his late 20s or early 30s who will have acquired sufficient experience and still in his prime as GKs usually have a long runway and can be relied upon for longer.
I’d take it for sure 👍 Not consistent enough, although that’s the whole team atm
Take it and go again, doesn’t look like the lad can play for 90 minutes
Agreed Luke, when you have that much money invested in a player you need them to be available each week !
Regarding todibo missing the wolves game I read on this site he had a virus and wasn’t expected to make the bench ,don’t know what to believe on this site
