Mancini has worries about West Ham’s Scamacca

|

We carried a piece on CandH earlier claiming that fears were growing over Gianluca Scamacca’s future at the club after he signed a deal with new representatives.

Within it, our man Simon Leyland wrote that David Moyes had been openly critical of him saying that his “physical data”  was not at the level needed to start games.

Now our blogger The Cat gives an interesting perspective on that situation.

Let’s be honest here, for me he looks like he is becoming our new “sicknote”. He has the undoubted ability, but I haven’t seen enough of him through either sickness or injury to make a proper judgement

I’m just not sure that this is the stick with which to beat Moyes.

In contrast, although Paqueta isn’t giving us totally what we expected, he cannot be faulted as he puts in a proper shift, whilst he is getting up to speed with the pace and style of the Premier League.

Another Joey Beauchamp i think; homesick. Not sure he was a Moyes player in the first place because he hasn’t been used to his strengths when he has played. Strange purchase to me

I have to agree to be honest Saul. It was a strange purchase considering the type of striker which we were known to be chasing and he just isn’t that type of striker.
I guess we have a lot to be thankful for as he has outlasted Joey Beauchamp. I remember hearing the rumours back in the day that something wasn’t going too well with Joey at Chadwell Heath. R.I.P
