West Ham captain Mark Noble has called on West Ham supporters to be the twelfth man today at the Emirates repeating the support witnessed at Anfield and the London Stadium.
The skipper praised the fans for whistling and booing every time the opposition got the ball and has called more of the same against Arsenal this afternoon.
Writing in his column for the Evening Standard Nobes said “The atmosphere in the stadium on Saturday was terrific and I could tell that as soon as we walked up the tunnel at the start. ‘Bubbles’ was being sung with gusto and I could sense the fans knew we needed them. I’d love it if our fans whistled and booed every time the opposition got the ball. It happened to us up at Liverpool and it was deafening.”
Claret and Hugh say:
It goes without saying that the supporters need to get behind the manager and the team for the Hammers remaining ten games. Fears that fan protests could affect the team appear to be unfounded with West Ham having two of their best performances against Liverpool following the Black balloon away protest and the Greenway Stroll ahead the Southampton win at the London Stadium. Hammers United have consistently told their members to stay classy and support the team not the regime and to be fair to them they have done just that with no signs of protests or trouble after the whistle blows at kick-off.
How many times has this been said….mark if the team puts a proper shift in every single week ,the fans will do the same ,simple,,, agree with high about the protesters, they still support to the max ,
The biggest lift to our survival hopes would be for Noble to stand down . He contributes nothing to the team and is so slow that it is embarrassing to watch . Sad but it is time to go . .
