Marko Arnautovic given extra time off

|

Marko Arnautovic will not be joining his team-mates on the plane to Switzerland late this afternoon. The Hammer of the year has an extra week of holiday after three International friendlies in 12 days at the end of May and early July.

Austria faced Russia on 30th May beating them 1-0 before beating Germany 2-1 three days later. They then faced Brazil on 10th June in which they lost 3-0.

Arnautovic was spotted wearing a wrist protector against the game against Brazil but despite rumours he had fractured his wrist we were told he is fine and only a precaution.

The 29-year-old will join up with West Ham squad next week in Switzerland.

His absence is likely to cause speculation of a move to Manchester United again but we have been told they their has been no contact in the form of an enquiry or a bid for the midfielder and a new deal for Marouane Fellaini makes any future interest less likely.
