Marko Arnautovic leaves Wolves on crutches

|

Marko Arnautovic was pictured leaving the Wolves stadium wearing a protective boot on crutches while grimacing in pain.

Asked by reporters whether Manual Pellegrini had an injury update on Marko the manager said “Not at this moment but I think it will not be an easy injury. I hope that he doesn’t have any problems but he must have a medical examination tomorrow. It was a hard kick on his foot, we will see tomorrow.”

Supporter video footage later showed Arnautovic with the head of player care Hugo Scheckter standing next to an ambulance close to the team coach however we understand he didn’t leave in that ambulance and will face medical scans and x-rays tomorrow most likely.

It is too early to say how long the 29-year-old striker who just signed a new contract with the Hammers could be out for but worst case scenarios could include a fracture or a break to his foot or even the dreaded metatarsal injury.   More should become clear in the next 48 hours as the swelling goes down.

Watching his performance last night, I would say he couldn’t be less productive should he take to the field on crutches

Dunno about leaving the Wolves stadium on crutches… I wish he’d leave the London Stadium on crutches and never return. I’m sick of him.
