Massive Arnie blow as Lanzini news gets worse

arnau2West Ham’s injury crisis has been revealed as far more serious than originally believed with both Manu Lanzini and Marko Arnautovich being

ClaretanHugh learned over the last few minutes that the Austrian has a torn hamstring and the early estimate is that he will miss the next three weeks following a scan today.

Meanwhile we have also discovered that Lanzini’s injury is more serious than at first revealed with the player suffering a ruptured hamstring.

LanzioThat could keep him out for six weeks although there are fears that he could now be missing for an even longer  period.

The two injuries are a total nightmare for the club and it is putting immense pressure on Michail Antonio who returned to training with the under 23s at Chadwell Heath today.

We were told: “He returns to training proper on Friday  and we shouldn’t use him for even en half an hour against Crystal Palace next Tuesday but we need him!”

  1. I’ve known since Saturday ? Why tell us now ! Dig fekin deep sully or were in a pile of it !
So its happened then ! Just as weve all been saying ? Amateurs at work ! Big ideas , short arms with deep pockets ! All their own making ! Spend his money Moyes before it starts to affect you as well !! They’ll blame you for sure !!! 😈

  2. With Arnie, Carroll & Lanzini all out the owners need to buy or we are deep.in trouble. They wont though of course.

  3. Well nows the time to make a statement of intent ! They need to big time , this is not good .
They really have no choice but to buy , unless there’s nothing in the pipeline then its going to be hard ! This really isn’t good !!! sakho / ayew, pea ,may be forced to stay ! One to watch ? Logic says no one out until some come ! Smolov , bentdoctor , carvhalo and Madison ,
Then I woke up lol 😎 I’m hoping there’s movement tomorrow ? Fingers crossed , legs, arms, eyes ,bolloxxx , 😉

    • Hi Laz,
Mate, I hope you are either very religious or the maker of miracles (or both).
My reading of it, is that Lanzini, Arnautovic are seriously injured, Antonio still a few weeks from top fitness, Chicharito wants out, Carroll is a a total crock (again), Ayew a big doubt/flop, Sakho wants out (does it ever stop!!)
if “Moishe” wants to continue the successful 3-5-2 or 3-5-1-1 (when he has used Lanzini and Arnie), then he really has to pull the rabbit out of the hat; the very minimum would be Smolov, Dongdocktor, and perhaps Mario).

If he can’t bring in anyone (a distinct possibility), then he must rely on Martinez, Quina, Haksabanovic, and perhaps Marrcus Browne.

The only positive factor, is that during the next 2 games, one is against Wigan in the FA Cup, which may give Antonio a bit more time to recover; I have never felt so anxious for ages-just when it was starting to look good.
Time for “The Brothers’ to cough up with the dosh, and do it soon, otherwise we are dead meat!
      Cheers,
      Maxie

  4. Ahh maaan, well this sucks, guess this is what happens when I’m quietly enjoying football again despite all the stick yer hands in yer pockets and board out lark.

Hey on the bright side, signing no. 5 might actually get a game. Please step forward and be counted young Haksabonovic (?spelling?).

Looks like the youngsters Quina and Martinez may have to grow up very quickly. Suddenly the young lads are hit with the pressure of the money orientated premiership.

  5. This is just not normal. I know modern football is demanding and uses bodies, but clearly the medical staff is underperforming. We should not have all our players suffering from the same injuries over and over again. Should Arnie and Lanzini have been given rest V. Shrews ? Yes, but as someone else said, this could/would have happened anyhow.

We now need a couple of players who will keep us floating. If not, I fear the worse.

  6. Could it be bad nutrition ? bad massages ? bad pitches ?

    • bad training, bad coaches, bad heads of sport science, bad training grounds, we’ve had it all, and still no improvement. We must be cursed.

  7. This is the only report I can see about an Arnie injury. Very strange.

  8. Looks like all the positives are slowly being chipped away just as we were starting to get into some kind of form . Not much point in selling anybody is there ? . The problem now of course is getting someone or some bodies that actually want to play and convince those that don’t that they should . What a Nightmare .

  9. We needed signings and to sell some before this happened, and we would have done both.
Now we need more, and I can see them trying to get Giroud on loan.
A surprise move could be to bring in Rice to defence and move Masuaku into the middle to try and test defences more directly with his dribbling. He seems to be getting bogged down out wide at the moment, but playing behind the striker ( if we can find one ), would give him more directions to turn in.
It would also help him shoot on goal more.He could give us something there.

  10. Injury Crisis…????? I rejoice in the ‘crisis’!!
Given the recent form of both Lanzini and Arnie, picking up injuries during the window will ensure neither are sold to the highest bidder…. with Scallypool having a wad of cash (And after seeing then get beat by Swansea) how much would the Daves say no to…?
Not to mention the defensive ‘crisis’ which ensures Ginger Pele stays along with Rice, Oxford and Burke…?

  11. What I cannot understand is why Moyes has taken so long to even mention buying players he knew months ago we need fresh players yet he has done nothing so far unless, there is something going on with the directors perhaps they want to sell before buying but now the proverbial s—-t. Has hit the fan it should be all hands to the pumps unless they spend some decent money & recruit at least three players relegation will be a near certainty

  12. We’re turning into west hamstring United!!!! Can’t the medical people at west ham see this and sort it out earlier?????

  13. Don’t worry chaps- we are 17th richest in the world. And we are 11th so can obviously forget all about relegation. And even if do go down just think how proud the owners willl be when they can brag that we are the richest second tier club in the world- how good does that sound? It was obvious last summer that there were gaping holes in this squad & now the chickens have come home to roost. We have climbed halfway up the table in a few weeks & it will be just as easy to slide down again. Even with Arnie & Lanzini we have struggled to score at home. Now we will miss out on those ‘winnable’ games against our rivals & be left to save the season with games against the top clubs.

  14. What is up Gary Lewin? Have questions of him leaves Arsenal & Wilshere & Welbeck are finally for for more then a few weeks.
Been saying for weeks if Lanzini & Arnie get injured we are in trouble we are still in relegation battle. Only 10pts from 10th to 20th.
Sadly if we had squad players wed have a chance at Fa cup win & Top 10 finish but Bilic & board LST to many go in summer & have needed added creativity for a year.
We need to buy at least 2-3 players & bring in 2 good loans. Need AM CM CF & RW or RWB.

Should already had Dendoncker wrapped up hopefully this week & then need to have talks we Smolov or Babacar & Mario on loan be nice or buy Maddison Elynoussoui or Meyers or only has 6 mo left on contract.
And maybe loan move for Lazar Markovic w option to buy good right side player w pace can cross & score only 23
