Massive Hammers point to prove at Molineux

I genuinely believe the Wolves game on Monday evening is as key to what we believe are the new Hammers as any game this season.

Yes it’s been a magnificent campaign but there’s an old saying which is as true now as when it first emerged: It’s not how you start but how you finish.”

David Moyes has regularly issued a mantra that we need to see a consistent and reliable West Ham rather than the pone that has produced some of the torturous up and down performances in the past.

And at Molineux on Monday night we need to show our quality, consistency and goal power. I wouldn’t exactly say the Wolves are a team to be brushed aside but if we are serious challengers for that top four they need to be beaten.

We need to show we have fully recovered from the Arsenal dramatics and can put such stuff behind us.

A double over Wolves towards the start and end of the season will demonstrate that Moyes’ consistency demands are close to being met and that our recovery from disappointment has become a key aspect of this club.

We have lived on the dark side for a long time when the wheels have fallen off dramatically when things looked so good.

A win on Monday and victories over teams we should be beating in our present mood over the next few weeks will be the major triumph of Moyes season for me with stability and consistency part of the club’s new psyche.

Hughie’s prediction 1-2

  1. I suppose this game will actually show where we are as a team pushing for a European spot. If we win, then I think we can look forward to us challenging for European spot. Lose, and it’s basically over. So I will go for a draw… 1-1. 😜

  2. We need to do as Moyes says play consistently well, we were unlucky against the gooners but we let them back into the game by playing negatively. I am not sure how many 1000’s of times we have done that in the past, it rarely works whether you are 3 0 up or 1 0 up. Let’s go out to win matches to be dominant and stay dominant even when we are under attack. There are no easy games in the PL Chelsea found that out earlier let’s walk through the door they left ajar and back into the CL places COYI 111
