West Ham United, Tottenham, Nottingham Forest and Leeds are locked in a four way battle to the death of one sides’ Premier League futures.

West Ham had the form-pre Aston Villa result – and the momentum and indeed it is Spurs who look to be the club sinking like a stone without a league win this year.

News this afternoon will have huge repercussions on the relegation battle, as broken by Sky sports:

“Tottenham head coach Igor Tudor has left the club after just six weeks in charge.

Tudor did not win a single one of his five Premier League games, drawing just one and losing the other four, having replaced Thomas Frank in February.

Spurs said on X: “We can confirm that it has been mutually agreed for head coach Igor Tudor to leave the club with immediate effect.

“Tomislav Rogic and Riccardo Ragnacci have also left their respective roles of goalkeeping coach and physical coach.

“We thank Igor, Tomislav and Riccardo for their efforts during the past six weeks, in which they worked tirelessly.”

The club added that “an update on a new head coach will be provided in due course”.

West Ham fans will be silently cursing: It seemed Igor Tudor was their secret weapon and the Hammers’ best chance of avoiding the drop came if Tudor remained in charge. Sean Dyche amongst others, had been touted as a possible replacement. Time will tell in what will prove to be a pivotal few days in the relegation battle.

Surely the Spuds cannot get it so wrong again. We live in hope. Anybody got Avram Grant’s phone number?

From the old Bobby Moore Upper to the Billy Bonds' stand these days - sometimes- have to admit I have not renewed my season ticket... I've been watching since '03 and a supporter since about 1970..
Favourite player - Dean Ashton: Still watch YouTube repeats of the Cup Final of 2006 hoping in vain that Shaka Hislop grows six inches and stops Steven Gerrard's injury time equaliser. Can tell I'm getting old knowing I saw both Mark Noble's debut and his last game at West Ham.
Pulling on a Claret and Blue replica shirt still makes me feel the same butterflies as when I was seven years old. Magic.

I would be concerned if Dyche did get the job. As normal on here people make daft comments without knowing facts. Dyche gained 22 pts in 18 games 6 wins 4 draws 8 losses. Forest have 32 pts as we are at the moment. That’s 10 pts from 13 games since he went. He sets teams up not to concede goals which could be dangerous for us

    • Whippethammer says:

Allegedly Dyche has ruled himself out of the running, which as you say, can only be good news.

  • Zahama says:

Spurs have been through a whole lot of managers including Mourinho, Antonio Conte, Ange and Nuno

I think that (maybe like us) their problems run deeper

Does not concern me at all….We have to look after ourselves we do not play the spuds or Forest so whatever happens we cannot influence there results so just worry about us.

  • Jeeps says:

Hope Nuno learnt by his Villa mistakes.
No room for anymore experimenting it’s now or never.

  • Keith Turner says:

Seems like Spurs need to contact somebody called Potter. If he can do for them what he did for us all should be well – for us.

  • Paul says:

You couldn’t make it up! Potter’s failed assistant Bruno Saltor is now in temporary charge. Frank must be laughing his head off.

  • D says:

Personally I thought Tudor would be a disaster and I really don’t rate Sean Dyche either. So if they plump for him I think it’s good news for us. Let’s hope they get ultra desperate and go for BFS. 🤣

  • M B says:

Bad news for West Ham. I just hope they hire Dyche who seemed to have lost his way with struggling teams recently.

  • DJHammer says:

Let us pray that they appoint BFS and he conspires to relegate them.

  • Ray says:

Sean Dyches phone number will probably do. If he is appointed, he won’t be there for long. As for whether or not it will help West Ham, they need to be masters of their own success and not relying on the other teams to do it for them. The next three games will reveal a lot about West Ham’s recovery.
