Maybe Lawro is starting to cotton on

Well, he got it wrong last week…which was a result for us.

Let’s just hope he get it right for Monday night’s match when we take on Villa at the London Stadium.

We are of course talking about the pundit we all love to hate – well many of us…Mr Mark Lawrenson.

Despite the Hammers having enjoyed a series of great results before the game in Yorkshire the BBC website blogger decided to tip Sheffield United to beat us 2-0 last weekend – wrong

And this time around he reckons the midlanders will be beaten by the Hammers and goes for a 2-1 scoreline. I think he’s got it wrong again and that the Hammers will c0me out 2-0 or 3-0 winners against a team who are at best – unpredictable.

With Mikey Antonio back in the frame for an appearance and confidence growing with every result the Hammers look a very decent bet to me so maybe Lawro is gradually cottoning on.

He writes: ” Like Manchester United, Aston Villa are another team who have been getting much better results away than they have managed at home.

Villa have improved in every department compared to last season, but West Ham have got better too, and they are on a good run right now.

I like the look of the Hammers’ attack at the moment and, even if this one is close, they have got the quality to nick the points.

 2-1

  1. As long as we show Villa respect, they are a different monster away from home…. They are a descent going forward with Grealish the main focus … Really playing some great football at the moment.. Need to “stifle” him as much as possible.. COYI WILL take a 2-1 victory anyday of the week 👍
