McAvennie’s “rubbish” FA Cup clash verdict

McAvennieEXCLUSIVE

Frank MacAvennie fully expects West Ham to beat Manchester United on Sunday at Old Trafford.

The former Hammers striking legend believes Slaven Bilic’s men will have too much for Louis van Gaal’s outfit and delivered a damning verdict on United saying: “I honestly think United are rubbish this season.”

He believes the Hammers – on a surge of form and confidence – should go to Manchester as favourites but doesn’t believe the bookies will see it that way.

He told ClaretandHugh exclusively said: “We could be value for the game and I really do fancy us. It’sa long rime since I’ve seen such a poor United team and with us having proved how good we are on the road I an’t see us losing and believe we will win.

“We were unlucky up therein the League match and there’s certainly no reason for any fear – it’s them than should be worrying about us.

“Okay  we have some problems at the back but Slav has shown he is more than capable of coping with those situations and I honestly think United are rubbish and that we will get the result.”

  1. Time for another bet I think,
Just can’t see them scoring even with our patched up defence,
The front 3 of Payet Sakho and Lanzini is a dream, unless you are a defender in red,
But it’s the replacements if things don’t work our,Valencia,Carroll and Emineke,
Or midfield having Song to come on,
I can’t even name a threat for them that I rate in the same class

  2. But be well assured that Fellini and swinehundt will feature , a foot in here a foot in there and an elbow or two . That’s what will be waiting for us , having said that I fancy a result at the mancs . Sakho /carol , would be my choice to start. he game , 2 up front . With lanzini , payet and the bard getting at em , noble and obiang holding , with 3 at the back cresswell , ogbonna and kouyate .we need to be on the front foot at the off , something that we don’t seem to do, we are slow starters and need to address that .
1-2 to us . Who is the ref ??? Probably a local boy ???
