McDonald slams West Ham loanee

leeFormer West Ham No.2 under Allardyce, Neil McDonald has blasted West Ham striker Elliot Lee, claiming he would rather be “at home with his mum and dad” than playing for Blackpool.

The 21-year-old turned has down the chance to extend his loan at Bloomfield Road, instead choosing to return to his London club. Lee won three of his four games at BlackPool but declined the offer to stay until the end of the season.  Blackpool manager McDonald said: “Elliot picked up an injury and told us he didn’t want to come back.

“He’s gone back to the comforts of the under-21s and being at home with his mum and dad. It disappoints me.”
McDonald added: “We are trying to bring players here who want to play football. He’s come and played all the games, yet he still isn’t happy. He’s gone back to West Ham and will probably be in their under-21s for the rest of the season.”

  1. There are strong rumours that Elliot Lee didn’t want to return to Blackpool because the manager is **** with a big mouth.

  2. hes like a silly kid in the playground who doesnt get his own way . gotta. . be petty and lash out. that is such a spiteful comment. But then he had a bad teacher.

  3. I admired MacDonald for taking such a tough job but Blackpool as a place is a not the nicest of towns, Elliot is better off with our development squad and Neil MacDonald should respect the lad’s wishes with a bit more grace…..

  4. Even though it pains me to say this being a B’pool born lad, but they have been utter ****e these past couple of years. Not really surprised that he doesn’t want to stay there. Most of the problems up there is down to the owners. Lee is not good enough for the PL imho his level is the Championship & not down the bottom of League One.

  5. Blackpool in January????? It’s grim enough in August…..
