McTominay again?

More rumours are coming out of Old Trafford.

This time not about Harry Maguire – thank goodness !

The Evening Standard has reported that West Ham want to finish their Summer transfer window in style by making a late move to Scott McTominay from Manchester United.

Since the very start of the Summer transfer window, barely a week has gone by without McTominay  being talked about as a potential new player for the Irons, but it all came to naught with Manchester United demanding £40 million.

Quite rightly we quickly put that to one side and happily signed Edson Alvarez and James Ward-Prowse to beef up our central midfield but it now seems we may be interested in going bck in for him.

The question has to be asked, at this late stage of the window….do we really need him?
