Memo to board: 15 possible Moyes replacements

West Ham are apparently struggling to find a possible replacement for David Moyes should they decide to replace him.
It isn’t going to happen this week and we are being told regardless that oother managers out there are high risk.
Moyes’ position is well known but it is is difficult to accept that there is no manager out there who couldn’t come in and do a decent job.
All of them usually have a sell by date of course unless their name happens to be Sir Alex Ferguson but Claret and Hugh Facebook follower David Pope has come up with 12 names which of course includes Rafa Benitez.
There really are a few out there who could do the job@
Mauricio Pochettino
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
Quique Setien
Frank de Boer
Andre Villas-Boas
Marcelo Bielsa
Jorge Sampaoli
Rafael Benitez
Joachim Low
Thomas Tuchel
Zinedine Zidane
Laurent Blanc
Marco Rose
Peter Bosz
Espirito Santo

  1. Ange Postecoglou? Put aside the non Euro and the of the possible snobbery because how is Aussie.
Have a look at his stats and history, he will be a cost effective option

  2. The situation really is this;
You’re playing pontoon (stay with it!)
You’ve bet the family silver on an ace then received a 6… stick or twist?

Which is pretty much decision the board are facing

Stick = Moyes and almost certain relegation

Twist = Appoint one of the above, the majority of whom will deliver CERTAIN relegation – BUT with maybe one or two exceptions?

    Hmm…

  3. West Ham are faced with the same toxicity as they’ve had for six or seven seasons. Bilic did well at first (7th), then had an average season whilst the team adapted to the LS (11th) followed by a sticky start to 2017-18 and wrongly (IMO) sacked in November. Moyes came in and saved the club from relegation (13th). Pellegrini had another average season (10th) then was fired at Christmas the following year with the team in 17th place. Moyes came in to save them again (16th). Moyes delivers in 2020-21, the team qualifies for Europe (6th) and does it again last season (7th).
There’s still a lot to play for this season. West Ham should reach the 5th round of the FA Cup. and are through to the last-16 of this European competition. There’s exactly half a Prem season left and frankly, I don’t fear for our team. Just two points cover Leeds in 14th to bottom team Southampton. (Seven teams). West Ham currently have the best squad they’ve ever had. I must be the only supporter on here who wants Moyes to stay.
The toxic reality is that if Everton win on Saturday, Moyes will go, sadly. If West Ham win, Lampard will be fired. Both will get the bullet if it’s a draw and ironically, Moyes will be invited to save Everton and take them to mid-table.
Be careful what you wish for. Most of the fifteen coaches Hugh has listed would be totally wrong for West Ham. The ones that might be good probably wouldn’t want the job right now.
