Sky pundit, Paul Merson is tipping West Ham to hold Chelsea to a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.
Chelsea are not having a good week after they were knocked out of the Champions league by Paris Saint-Germain last week and were then eliminated from the FA Cup at the hands of Everton last weekend.
Chelsea are currently 10th in the Premier League, five places and 9 points below West Ham.
Merson wrote on the Sky Sports website: “Chelsea will be desperately trying to stop Slaven Bilic’s side reaching the Champions League when the two sides meet at Stamford Bridge.
“West Ham are right in the hunt for European qualification but to get a result at Chelsea they will have to play from the first whistle. In recent weeks they’ve only come alive when they’ve been behind.
“They came back from 2-0 down against Norwich and they did the same at Everton, before going on to seal all points.
“They can’t afford to give Chelsea a head start. Again, there’s not a lot between these two sides and I’m going for another 1-1 draw.”
What a shock, another draw that must hurt no defeat for us again, another splinter bum,
Lawerson next although he is still in bed dreaming of Euro glory,
Probably working out how to open his packet of just for men
Not sure if it’s for him because it doesnot mention sad or unintelligent,
Probably brought it in Alska when he got lost going to America,
Come on Mers get off the fence you can do it,
0-1 win to Westham see easy
