West Ham have reached out to Claret & Hugh within the past few minutes to provide clarity on the transfer speculation surrounding Ezechiel Banzuzi.

Ordinarily, the club does not address rumours originating from social media. However, the sheer volume of false claims, twists, and confusion in today’s rumour mill prompted a need for clarification.

Earlier today, Sky Sports reported that West Ham had agreed a £10 million deal for the 19-year-old OH Leuven midfielder. Upon checking with trusted West Ham sources, Claret & Hugh were told no such deal existed and reported this accordingly. Despite that, social media began buzzing with claims that Banzuzi was en route to the UK for a medical—entirely untrue.

In an unusual move, the club directly contacted Claret & Hugh to confirm: “No, the deal collapsed two weeks ago. His club said they would not sell him this window, and it did not progress further.” The West Ham source concluded: “I’m not sure why Sky Sports reported it as happening today because it isn’t.”

While this provides clarity, it’s undeniably disappointing news for those of us hoping for incoming transfers. C&H will continue to keep you informed on all the latest developments, but false reports seem to be more rampant than ever during this transfer window.

Perhaps it’s time for Hughie’s rumour-o-meter to make a comeback!

Reading some of these comments are enough to make one wonder whether they are true fans or spoilt brats.
Club is a joke, run like a circus blaming Sulli for our false reports on players, coincidence or not the guy changed the manager mid season… was it later than I wanted? Yes, but it got done.
We need to remember many clubs do not like releasing worth while players in the January window so it’s not like going shopping and pulling an item off the shelf and bringing it home.
You each would shout until your blue in the face if they picked up another Ings or Fulkrug so try giving them a break and stop spitting your dummy’s out and kicking your toys out of the pram and hold off judgment until you have at least seen out the window closing.
There are other factors already in play too like the wage bill and the fact they already spent a large portion of their Allowed cash due to the FFPR so any top class players will be difficult to find and bring in during this winter

Well my eggs Benedict is delicious.

I believe Keir Stammer over you 🤣 what ever the bull**** Sullivan tells you, you must e paid to voice it. The club is run by a circus and your the mouth piece

Thankfully only another 7 home games left in what has been the worst season I can remember in 65 years. We are nowhere near achieving a European slot but neither are we likely to get dragged into a relegation battle as there are three very poor teams.
Now is the time for some stability. We have brought in lots of players, loaned lots out, appointed a new manager and changed who is in charge of recruitment.
Time for the new manager to look at all the players properly and not make knee jerk decisions like Loppy did.
As for the recruitment team they should only be looking at strikers. Until we can get a couple of decent young ones we will never move forward

Just to give some balance to this non story from Sky and all the constant negativity. Our club have moved quickly to confirm that negotiations ended 2 weeks ago as his club refused to sell which C&H duly reported.
Up to today here are the number of incoming deals completed for each club:-
Zero – Arsenal, Brentford, Chelsea, Everton, Fulham, Liverpool, Man Utd. Newcastle, West Ham.
1 – Brighton, Crystal Palace, Leicester, Notts Forest, Wolves
2 – Aston Villa, Ipswich, Man City, Tottenham,
    3 – Southampton
    4 – Brentford

Out of all the deals completed this month only 15 have had transfer fees. the rest have been loans.

There are still 13 days left in the window so plenty of time for Graham to bring in players he needs. I can’t believe he would have accepted the job unless he had guarantees he would be backed with a good budget this window. I certainly agree the board completely screwed up the Duran transfer and the Palace performance was crap, but if the club and supporters give Graham time he will deliver.

Don’t trust anything with this Circus of a club, unless someone is announced wearing the shirt

  • D says:

They probably contacted C&H about this fake leak of a story because they know virtually all the other apparently near-miss signings (that never were gonna be signings) we are told about are leaked by the club hierarchy

  • Craig says:

Potter now realising what life is like under the poison dwarf and his cohorts…..i’d walk away now if i was him because if he thinks things will change come the summer he is in for a rude awakening…..the club will never progress under this man as he sees it as a cash cow for himself and his family and the other impotent board members as well.

  • Tom says:

Low half hearted bids for players well under what their clubs want for their players, false leaked information to favoured West Ham sites and journalists you could even say fake news trying to placate the fan base with nonsense . A shambolic , incompetent transfer window. Who would have thought with Sullivan in charge. Perhaps C&H should do a poll asking the fans what they exactly feel about this useless fool running this club. Not run like a circus anymore hasn’t aged well. Complete joke of a club.

  • Paul Basnett says:

Transfer windows are always pretty shambolic with West Ham but this one is a double shambles. Last Summer actually seemed professional except for the getting the wrong players thing.

  • Al says:

False reports more rampant than ever seems to have coincided with sullivan taking back control.

All publicity is good publicity is in his mantra

  • Dave says:

Unless this player was going straight in the first team he’s not what we need now.
We need players ready to go.

  • Dean says:

Perhaps C&H could “reach out” to the board and remind them that the transfer window has been open for over 20 days and they’ve done the square root of nothing to address the problems in the squad, I guess they’re waiting till the last minute before they unveil a player from a preferred agent
