Wilshere gets sick note on stomach pain

Jack Wilshere will again be missing when the Hammers take on Spurs at the London Stadium tomorrow (Sat).

We understand that te player has not been included in the squad although all other expected ‘faces’ will be involved.

Manuel Pellegrini and the medical staff have been monitoring the midfielder’s position after he complained that he is  experiencing pain behind his stomach.

And we understand that will now ensure that he will again be unavailable as the problems go on from week to week. He has now been on the injury or sickness sidelines since October 19 against Everton – unable to add to the six Premier League appearances he has made this season.

He was being tipped as a possible replacement if Mark Noble was unable to make the game but we understand he is fit.

The manager revealed to reporters: “Wilshere was working normally until yesterday when he had a small problem.

We will see tomorrow if he is able to be on the squad list. It’s a small pain that he has behind his stomach. It’s a small thing but it bothers him a little bit so he must be 100%.”
