Midfielder says goodbye

Alex Kral has said goodbye to West Ham after his shocking loan spell finally ended.

The midfielder is set to return to Spartak Moscow after spending the season at the Irons.

However, he only played six times in total for the Hammers and struggled to make any sort of dent in the first-team.

His loan spell was due to expire on July 1st and he has now officially left the club, sending fans a message on Twitter after his exit.

He said: “It was an honour for me to wear this jersey!! Big thanks to all West Ham fans for your support and love! I wish you the best IRONS.”

Kral had been a first-team star for Spartak, making 60 appearances, but it remains to be seen what situation he will find himself in next season, with the Russian league in turmoil after the invasion of Ukraine.

The Irons have also lost Mark Noble this summer due to his retirement and David Moyes will aim to bring in new midfielders this summer after signing both Alphonse Areola and Nayef Aguerd in this window.
