Mikey Antonio is NOT in Jamaica’s squad for their next three games despite reports to the contrary on Monday.
The Hammers striker has been in desperate need of a rest, having played 36 times for the club in all competitions thus far this season.
Mikey has played in both legs against Sevilla in the Europa League Round of 16, including playing the entire 120 minutes in the second leg, as the Irons won the game in extra time.
As a result, he has been substituted against both Aston Villa and Spurs in their last two league games and there was a fear that he would go off with Jamaica for their final three World Cup qualifiers.
However, he has not been included in the squad, with the country set to supplement their squad with players who play their domestic football in Jamaica, per Voice-Online.
The Reggae Boyz cannot qualify for the World Cup after a dismal run of form, although they still have to play El Salvador, Canada, and Honduras.
Mikey will be watching on from home.
