Mikey Antonio has raised hopes that he could be available for the match on Thursday night at the London Stadium.

The No 9 left the action this afternoon to be replaced by the heroic Andriy Yarmolenko but before doing so he appeared to make it clear he hadn’t suffered yet another hamstring problem

And let’s be frank about it – he should know given the problems he has suffered in the past so it’s very much case of fingers crossed.

Mike appeared to overstretch as he went into something a bit less than fifty fifty but after resuming for a short spell he went down again and whilst on the ground before departing he appeared to mouth the word: “It’s not the hamstring” per Hammers News.

In fact he was pointing to his thigh as he explained the situation so we remain in a 50/50 situation with David Moyes revealing nothing about either him or Aaron Cresswell

With Jarrod Bowen all but certain to miss the game it would be a massive blow against a very good Sevilla side were Mikey not to be available!

Both players will now be heading for scans tomorrow.

Hope springs eternal.
