  Mohammed Kudus is missing

Mohammed Kudus is missing from the Ghana squad for tonight’s  Afcon warm up international friendly match against Namibia.

The Hammers Number 14 has been unable to travel for the tournament as he has suffered what was described to Claret and Hugh as ” a slight hamstring injury.”

As things stand this evening he  is likely to be leaving for the tournament by the weekend with a source explaining there seemed little danger of him missing the compewtition.

Ghana open their group matches against Cape Verde on Sunday, 24 hours after the opening match between the Ivory Coast and Guinea Bissau.

Whether Ghana boss and former Hammer Chris Hughton decides to play Kudus is debatable given that he will only just have recovered from the injury and of course was unable to play in the game against Bristol City at the weekend,

Hughton may decide as a result that the winger/striker is not sufficiently match fit to play in that game and save him for the next on Thursday 18th against Egypt.

Ghana’s remaining games are against Mozambique on Monday the 22nd with the competition climaxing on February 11.

We are currently attempting to contact the club regarding Mohammed’s injury position and will let you know once we have an answer.
