West Ham United are reportedly back in the mix to sign Monaco midfielder Youssouf Fofana, as the club continues to bolster their squad for the upcoming season.

The Hammers have enjoyed a busy transfer window thus far, with the likes of Max Kilman, Jean-Clair Todibo, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka joining the club. However, the Irons are still not content with their current squad and are exploring further options to strengthen their midfield.

Fofana, a highly-rated talent, has attracted interest from several clubs, including AC Milan. West Ham’s ability to potentially hijack the deal for the French midfielder highlights the club’s ambition and financial muscle in the transfer market.

The addition of Fofana would provide West Ham with a dynamic and versatile midfielder, capable of both defensive and attacking contributions. His energy and tenacity would be a valuable asset to the squad.

As the transfer window draws to a close, West Ham will be hoping to secure the signing of Fofana to further enhance their squad depth and competitiveness.

    Yes please!

  • Jeeps says:

Fofana has been linked with so many clubs.
If it came down to choice between Matt O’Reilly, Carlos Soler or Youssouf Fofana think latter would win.
Tim wanted to sign Fofana last year but Moyes objected.
May just come down to money pot.

Barring injuries to pacman kudus alverez and martinez i can’t see him getting in the 1st 11. Would he come to us to keep ings company on the bench, i doubt it

    • Ian says:

      Rodriguez?

    • Andy Stone says:

I think rotation and better use of subs is very likely but not possible if the bench isn’t up to it.

If Fofana comes in I see a change in the midfield and front three happening.

Alvarez at the base of midfield with Fofana and Paqueta in front of him. That is a defensive midfielder (Alvarez) playing alongside a box to box midfielder (Fofana) and a creative, more attack minded midfielder (Paqueta).

With Kudus playing on the right, Bowen playing through the middle and Summerville playing on the left.

Fullkrug would then be brought on to change the approach in games.

My point being, Fofana starts even with the midfield players we already have. He offers more than Rodriguez and you still get to keep the creativity of Kudus, Paqueta and Summerville, while Bowen is obviously one of the first names on the team sheet.

    would be perfect

but milan seem pretty confident that fofana will leave on a free if monaco don’t lower their price to facilitate the move

    could be all bs

but with the premier league starting in just days fofanas inaction seems to align with the narrative

you’d think with the capture of his compatriot it might be enough to swing him over

  • elduder says:

also with AWB arrival we are now tapped out, need to move players

fingers crossed zouma gets his deal done in the coming days

  • Kevlar says:

Fofana is on a completely different level to oReilly he’s a French international player and as good as todibo. We definitely should prioritize him over any other player atm !!!

  • Pat says:

  • Lloyd Nathan says:
