Montpellier starlet to the Irons?

West Ham United are now looking at signing the young starlet, Elye Wahi from Montpellier as a replacement for veteran striker Michail Antonio if he heads to Saudi Arabia this summer.

Wahi enjoyed a fabulous break out season with Montpellier scoring 19 goals in 33 Ligue 1 appearances last term, along with making six assists. Fbref mark him with an average of 0.76 goal contributions per game, which is extremely high. Plus the fact that he is only 20, the sky really is the limit.

It goes without saying that he has caught the eye of other European clubs but West Ham could make a real statement of intent if we can sign this £30m striker..

The Irons are facing a reshuffle in the striking department this summer as Michail Antonio could be on his way out with a move to the desert, while Gianluca Scamacca could return to Italy. Danny Ings, however, has failed to impress since joining and could also be on his way, leaving the door open for Wahi to get consistent game time at the London Stadium.

Playing alongside Divin Mubuma, we could have an extremely potent attacking partnership!

Go get him Mr Steidten
