More bad news for PAI

Die hard West Ham fan Tom Winnifrith has poured more petrol on the PAI Capital bonfire by alleging one of its backers is a known fraudster.

Writing on his website ShareProphets.com,Tom makes an allegation that Chris Cleverly is a serial fraudster and alleges he has the proof to prove it.

Tom’s article can be read in full at https://www.shareprophets.com/views/57871/exposed-chris-cleverley-the-serial-fraudster-trying-to-buy-west-ham

The latest allegations come after an expose by The Sunday Times on PAI’s backers which Claret and Hugh covered with this piece at New research poses questions on takeover backers – Claretandhugh

Tony Cottee, Rio and Anton Ferdinand must be having serious doubts who they have got in bed with and the reputational damage putting their names to this phantom takeover bid might have to their image.

Four days ago we confirmed that a second bid or approach was yet to be made with the first approach rejected never considered a bid because they failed to show proper proof of funds.

  1. PAI do not look to be as straightforward outfit after all if this is true. Also do the Ferdinands and TC really know every detail about PAI finances I doubt it.

  2. Interestingly, when I looked this morning Chris Cleverly (and his bio) had disappeared from the list of PAI partners. The smell of things not right intensifies! This bid is effectively over, but more will come and more insight from the owners about what happens then would be welcome. It would be helpful to have a discussion about sustainable debt levels as well as squad, academy, stadium etc.
