More disappointment for Arnautovic

Marko Arnautovic hit the net twice in  Austria from falling to a 4-2 defeat to Israel in their UEFA Euro 2020 qualifier on Sunday.

The Hammers forward opened the scoring in Haifa after eight minutes  but Israel went on to grab four in 66 minutes before Arnautovic got one back for the visitors 15 minutes from time.

Austria’s defeat leaves them with no points from their opening two fixtures.

In the same Group G, Lukasz Fabianski was an unused substitute for Poland as they continued their perfect start with a 2-0 success against Latvia.

Elsewhere, Conor Coventry played the 90 minutes for Republic of Ireland U21s as they defeated Luxembourg 3-0 in the first game of their UEFA U21 2021 Championship qualifying campaign.

Coventry has represented his country at U17, 18 and 19 levels in the past, but this was his first outing in the U21 side.
