More good news as Sakho flies out

SakhoWest Ham’s front line strikers Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho were both on the plane for Dubai  as the Irons headed for their warm weather training break.

Co chairman David Gold had revealed earlier today the Senegal striker was “running free” and ” set for a return in mid March” but it’s particularly good news that the striker is back with the boys and on his way to the sun.

All the medical staff are making the trip to Dubai and with ‘Sak’ rapidly recovering from his first ever surgery hopes continue to grow for a really big end of season.

A source said: “They both  made the trip  and Diafra is making rapid progress.”

AC is also recovering from the groin niggle and will continue to receive treatment whilst away and looks certain to play against Watford in the next fixture.

We also understand that Aaron Cresswell is with the squad after being withdrawn against West Brom at half time on Saturday with a dead leg.

  1. It will be interesting to see what becomes of Sakho come the summer.Im just glad to read something West Ham.I went on WHTID and i thought i was on an Arsenal website Ha Ha

  2. Slim you should know by now that WHTID’s posters are all managers or politicians that can run any football club or the country itself 😀

  3. Jim they will chatter about anything mate it doesn’t even have to be football. I laughed earlier because they were moaning that the new housing at Upton Park is going to be called Upton Gardens. Why would they moan? Isn’t it being called that to please people like them? I mean Ghandi Towers or Boris Buildings then ok but surely Upton Gardens gets the seal of approval? Apparently not!

  4. I think Sacko has a great future at West Ham . He is totally different to Carrol but has the potential to score a lot of goals . Would rather see him play than some “nobody ” loanee or £25m panic buy . COYI

    • Agrees bubbles.I would make Sakho top priority for the board.Pay him a decent wage and embrace the lad.China doll with his injury record is not the answer for consistent goal scoring.

  5. Sakho with his injury record is also not the answer for consistent goal scoring

  6. My personal opinion is that Diafra will be moved on in the summer.I will be surprised to still see him with us next season.
