More on Wahi
West Ham target Elye Wahi is set to miss his side’s Ligue 1 clash with Lyon today
RMC Sports journalist, Fabrice Hawkins, also reported via Twitter that West Ham and Lens have both almost reached agreements in prospective transfers, and as a result the 20-year-old striker is not in the group which will travel to face Lyon today.
Wahi could be a great option for West Ham as a squad player this summer, coming in as someone who can gradually make more of an impression over time. At just 20 years of age, he is still raw as a footballer, but his record for Montpellier shows that is capable of scoring goals regularly at a high level.
He is in fact the 5th most prolific U-21 in Ligue 1 history after Kylian Mbappe, Bernard Lacombe, Karim Benzema & Yannick Stopyra
It appears that the Irons have done all that they can , and now it is down to the player as to where he wants to go.
It comes to something when he chooses Lens over WHU
I can’t believe we are going to miss out on another top player from right under our noses. I thought the deal was supposed to have been 90% done. Then over night Lens step in and snap him up. He is such a talent, regarded as the up & coming striker in Europe. Again we’re left feeling like hat might have been. Let’s just hope no one steps in and steals Kudus from under our nose. And Please No No No to Origi. You can just see that one happening. Paying over the top for a failure
If we do not sign him then I would ge very gapoy to see us go fir Gnonto and include Antonio in the deal.
He’s going to Lens.
