More Scamacca speculation

Yet another story has emerged in the ongoing “will he or won`t he” Scamacca saga

Apparently, AC Milan are reportedly set to offer Charles De Ketelaere to the Irons in a bid to sign the misfiring Gianlucca Scamacca from the Hammers.

Scamacca will be missing again

Both players joined their respective clubs at the start of the season on five-year deals, but have struggled to break into the first team.

De Ketelaere’s Milan move was one of the biggest in Italy last summer, but he is still yet to find the net for the Rossoneri in 34 appearances.

The Italian outlet Telelombardia  have claimed that Milan are looking to bring Scamacca back to Italy, after his departure from Sassuolo to join West Ham, and could use De Ketelaere to help fund the deal.

It has been well documented that Scamacca has had a tricky time at the London Stadium too, with injuries and competition from Michail Antonio and Danny Ings restricting his game time.

The 24-year-old has still shown promising signs though, scoring eight goals in 27 appearances, helping West Ham win their Europa Conference League group and see off AEK Larnaca in the last 16, but has not been seen since.

However, after losing his starting spot in the Italian national team to Mateo Retegui, Scamacca may return to Italy in hope of forcing his way back into Roberto Mancini` s plans.
