Morgan wants another Old Trafford wonder goal

MorganWest Ham new boy Morgan Amalfitano scored what was widely hailed as a wonder goal at Old Trafford last season when on loan with West Brom .

The Baggies grabbed a shock 2-1 win over the Mancs and the Frenchman is hoping to provide an encore at Old Trafford today.

The midfielder waltzed past several United players before planting the ball in the net last year.

Andhe said: “It is one of the performances I am most proud of and hopefully we can go there and pull it off again.

“You have to go to Old Trafford with belief you can win. I’m full of confidence but United is a great team to play against and we need to give 100 per cent.”

Amalfitano opened his Hammers account with their third goal in last weekend’s 3-1 win over Liverpool.

And the midfielder praised fellow new boy Diafra Sakho after he also scored against the Reds.

Sakho joined the Hammers from French side Metz in the summer and Amalfitano added: “He might have been playing at the second level last season but Sakho was one of the great goalscorers.

“It’s my belief that he’ll perform well wherever he goes.”
