MORRISON INTEREST BUT NO BIDS YET

West Ham have received no formal bid from Fulham for Ravel Morrison.

Despite Craven Cottage coach Rene Meulensteen liking the player we can now confirm that a formal bid as such has not been made “at this stage.”

Sources close to the player are aware that Fulham – along with Newcastle United and Aston Villa – are likely to make their interest known.

One told us within the last few minutes: “It will be a big surprise if there’s no bids for the boy within the next week to ten days but at this stage West Ham United have received no formal inquiry or bids.”

Another added: “The very idea that a player will tell his current club which one he wants to join is nonsensical – it’s down to talks between two clubs and the player’s agent.

“There may be offers on the way but we are only six days into the transfer window and the business doesn’t usually get done until  later on anyway.

“I think a few people out there are getting a little hyped up and perhaps should take a pull for now.”
