Morrison moans…Lanzini performs – NEXT!

Ravel-Morrison-2Some things in this world never change…like Ravel Morrison.

A few of you may have noticed that the West Ham flop, former so called bad boy ( I prefer, nuisance) and injury stricken midfielder has been giving it large to The Sun over the last couple of days.

It will come as no surprise to you to begin to understand why the management of that publication is currently offering to deliver it FREE to your door!

Ravel – unlike another midfielder named Manuel Lanzini who is the same 22 years old – has been moaning this morning about West Ham messing with his head.

He whined: “At times I wanted to stop playing because I felt I had done everything right to be playing in the team. I started to dislike the sport because it didn’t matter how hard I worked, I wasn’t in the team”

Get the violins out!

Interestingly, he is not in the Lazio team either, a situation apparently down to injury but he adds in defence of himself that whilst in the UK he’d only ever wanted to play for West Ham and had sorted his attitude out but still wan’t in the first team.

Happens to loads of players mate – they tend to get on with it. No one has a divine right to a first team place.

Of the loan move to Cardiff he added: “Cardiff is a great club but I didn’t really want to go out on loan. I wanted to play at West Ham and be in the Premier League. My heart was not in it”

Heart wasn’t in it? He’s a professional footballer for goodness sake. Again… just get on with it son.

In fairness we should mention that there were alleged problems between himself and the former manager but many have suffered the same and stuck it out until things change!

Compare Ravel’s approach to Lanzini’s – and I’m not making a direct comparison in playing style although there are similarities.

This lad has arrived from halfway across the world, has produced a series of fine performances and is on his way to becoming a major Irons talent.

Apart from his arrival interview he has had nothing to say to the media and allowed us to judge him purely on performance.

Ravel -watch and learn. Pointless interviews get you nowhere.

  1. There are actually people who read The Sun??? 😯

  2. There are people the read the beans and recipe weekly but they normally read a different site,
Maybe Rav would have turned out a better player for us under Slav and his gang or ended up like Alfitano
Either way does not mater now,

  3. Give me Lanzini over the show pony Morrison any day.He is just a waster!

  4. Morrison behaved like an idiot. He also had massive talent, and boy did he play on that driving everyone to distraction. Nevertheless, he seemed to be 2 or 3 moves ahead of other players; lots of times, experienced players like Matty Taylor would hurriedly pass the ball to him when the Hammers were in danger of losing the ball to a break away because Morrison would know what to do. I saw him successfully chase and tackle break aways, let alone his fantastic creative play. Matty Etherington speaks in THE most glowing terms of him, as do the Sullivan boys who said they would love to have him back. So would I providing he sorts himself out. And I hope he plays for England providing he stops his spoilt brat **** behaviour driving everyone nuts. Morrison says he enjoyed playing for Redknapp, but managed to drive him up the wall too. Noticeably, he didn’t play for QPR in the play off final at Wembley. But it is to everyone’s loss for him to waste his incredible talent. I hope he is turning that corner. I don’t go with the article and comments; just doing the equivalent of a big ‘V’ sign at him are not sensible or helpful. I have always had faith in him to come good, and nothing would make me happier than see him back in claret and blue, and in an England shirt.

  5. Well i have no problem giving him a ‘v’ sign, the same as he did to us in these articles.Maybe he should get his head down & concentrate on building his career than raking over old ground.Personally i couldn’t care less what happens to him.I prefer to concentrate on Irons players, not some loose cannon now in Italy.
