Mourinho makes Hammer his number one target

According to Foot Mercato (via Sport Witness), Jose Mourinho is keen to plough on and his first priority is to “reconstruct” his defence with the signing of Issa Diop from the Hammers.

The central defender who was bought by West Ham for £22m from Toulouse in June 2018 has been the subject of many reports suggesting moves to Spurs, Manchester United and Arsenal to name but a few.

Mourinho while still in charge of Manchester United at the time said “Congratulations to the scout who found the 21-year-old kid, Diop. He was a monster and dominated every single duel”
Claret and Hugh understand that no formal bid has been submitted for their young French defender and it would take a massive bid to at least double the £22m they paid in 2018 for them to even consider selling the centre back.
Whether anyone would ever match the Hammers valuation remains to be seen.

  1. Tell spuds to do one they only want to deal with us when they want our players

  2. Selling any player to Spurs would be so inflammatory to Irons fans and I doubt would ever be forgiven. We also must build on our young players not sell them to Levy.

  3. An old story started. again

  4. It would take AT LEAST £60 mil before I would sell him And double that to the Spuds.
