Moyes alerted to availability of Fellani

|

FellaniMarouane Fellaini is out of contact with Manchester United in the summer and speculation about his immediate future has suggested that Jose Mourinho would not stand in his way from a January exit.

The 30-year-old midfielder was asked about his future by Belgium press to which he replied: “Honestly, I do not know. I have something in my head but I cannot tell you,”

“This is my tenth season in England. Except for the very first at Manchester, I only knew good times. I’m still here.  If Manchester did not want me anymore, they would have said that for a long time. They made a proposal, probably one will follow. Whether I will accept it I do not know. You cannot arrange something like that in a jiffy.”

Fellaini also revealed he has discussed his future with Jose Mourinho and he fully expects to have his support should he choose to leave Old Trafford. “We talked about it. The coach is someone who respects the decisions of his players,” he added.

Fellaini is said to have been approached with an offer from a Chinese Super League club and Turkish side Besiktas but would prefer to stay in the Premier League should his former boss want him.

He is probably on big wages at Utd more than we are likely to offer someone with little sell on value. Not sure either he is going to offer us sufficient in midfield we need someone who can hold onto the ball and create aswell as a pure defensive midfielder, Fellaini isn’t either of those he is more like Kouyate perhaps with better movement and sharper elbows.

Come on Sean…this has been on the cards and it’s been pointed out here on this blog several times. Nothing new. Just when and for his much? Marouane Fellaini is 30 with a good engine, fit, rested and he has those ‘don’t mess with me’ psycho eyes. And Mr Moyes trusts/rates him. Yeah, he could have a big influence on our midfield presence. COYI.

he aint coming to us, he’ll to to a galatasaray or someone else in european competition. honestly, our level is below the likes of giroud and co. we need to be realistic and pick up 4 or 5 genuine premier league players (as opposed to gunning for players who belong in elite european games) as we don’t even have those in our squad right now.

I think he is on £80k 32 but prob are offering him more Mou loves him & said earlier hr wouldn’t let him go in Jan.
I would take Fellaini on a 2 year deal but would he even come here. I think he is solid player cna play DM or #10 well.

But even if could get in Jna be expensive & I just think our aging injury prone squad needs young players who are ready to lroce themselves in the PL.
Id take Fellaini but chasing Arters & Schindlerlins are just too expensive for players not even playing when we can get younger better players outside of PL.
I am worried Moyes wants PL experience & British players to much he won’t look elshwere.

Bundesliga Serie A Jupiler Everdivisie Swiss league even MLS as some good players we could poach like Miguel Almiron & Jack Harrison.

We need someone New and exciting ,,,, not cast offs .

Yep, I agree with JRS on the Fellaini assessment: could do a job but an unrealistic target.

Master is on point: we need solid, proven PL performers in those positions where ‘we’re lacking quality’ to get us out of the relegation mire we’ve sunk into this holiday, like it or not.

A key issue for the club is that our ‘brand’ – that capitalist b/s much beloved of Lady Brady – does not conjure up a picture of security and progressive thinking. How attractive is the club as a development proposition for any young’ish footballing talent on the way up?
