Poor old Richard Keys is at it again. It seems there’s not a month that goes by without him taking a swipe at West Ham in one way or another.
Whether he’s mocking the fans, Karren Brady, Tim Steidten, or Julen Lopetegui, the disgraced former Sky presenter just can’t seem to help himself. In many respects, I wish my old mate Hughie were here to write this—he’d have been laughing his head off at Keys’ latest outburst.
This time, it’s the appointment of Graham Potter that has got under Keys’ skin, and once again, he couldn’t hold back.
“Karren Brady believes Graham Potter will take trophies to West Ham. I don’t. Strange—because they had a coach that did, and they forced him out,” said the bitter Keys.
Of course, he’s referring to David Moyes, whom he hasn’t stopped talking about since it became clear the Scotsman would be leaving West Ham.
Keys conveniently forgets a crucial detail: Moyes himself admitted he turned down West Ham’s final contract offer. And while there’s plenty to criticise Karren Brady for, wasn’t she the one who wanted to keep Moyes?
I believe the former Hammers boss will do well at Everton, especially with the return of his influential assistant Alan Irvine. Moyes struggled to replicate the same level of success after Irvine left West Ham to spend time with his family, a loss that undoubtedly contributed to the team’s downturn in performance and hastened the managers departure.
Not that any of this will matter to Keys. The man will likely continue to mock West Ham with a relish he seemingly can’t hide
I don’t think Moyes will stand a chance at Everton. They simply haven’t got the players and they’ve spent all their money on their new stadium. I suppose the new stadium might help to attract some new players though. I suspect Moyes will go for homegrown premier league stalwart types to get him out of trouble. He will try and sign the McGuire’s and mctominays of the world. If he gets players like that he might just enough to avoid relegation and start to build. He had better record at Everton probably than he did at West Han. As we all know he puts long hours in. He’s a workaholic and it’s going to help him being close to the family home.
Keys is a complete and utter tool. End of. Nobody in their right mind would listen to a word the chisel chinned Feargal Sharkey looky likey has to say
Moyes/Keys have nothing to do with our club so stop reporting such rubbish as do we really care what they think i certainly do not…so just West Ham news please as the aforementioned most certainly is not
Keys is an idiot F**k him … Moyles had his day .. and we needed to push on with a new manager…
Not Lopi … but that’s another matter …
There’s plenty of press that wants to see WHU fail or get relegated …
Let’s hope GP can get some sort of or result on Tuesday…and show them we are still in the fight …. COYI ⚒️⚒️⚒️
“Poor old Richard Keys” sums this has been right up. File under B for bin…
Let’s see what the Moyesiah does at Everton? I don’t think he will do well at all unless he buys a lot of new players. I had a peep at an Everton chat room to see what their fans were saying. Most were not over pleased but one comment cracked me up. This guy says
‘ so glad Moyes has returned, Dyche has been a disaster with his crap tactics. He only plays one up front and most of the rest of the team play so deep it’s ridiculous’ 🤣 Unless Moyes has had some sort of transformation that is exactly what he will get Moyes. I have never seen a more like for like swap
Dithering Dave buying players….. hahahahha and if he does let’s hope it’s a couple of centre forwards as he has a lot of experience in that area.
I’m desperate to see Moyes fail miserably and take his beloved Everton into the Championship where they belong.
Sick and tired of his media darling chums banging his drum when let’s be honest here, his football ideas and philosophy are from the dark ages, one of West Hams most negative, boring managers in our history who got lucky with us having a few decant players at the time.
If as I predict old Dinosaur Dave takes Everton down then the hes a safe pair of hands that Keys constantly throws out won’t stick anymore and I can’t wait….
The interview that Moyes did with Allardyce where they are both mocking The West Ham way doesn’t sit good with me and I hope Moyes and Everton go down….
First and foremost Richard Keys is a presenter and not an ex professional footballer, so why would anyone want to listen to this muppet when it comes to football matters.
Being best mates with Andy Gray does not automatically make Keys an expert about all things football.
I am friends with a fireman, but that does not make an expert on getting up and down ladders.
Did Keys not start off on the tv with Anne Diamond on Good Morning Britain ?
I think I would prefer to listen to Anne over Keys concerning football matters.
Looks like Keys has had his face pushed in. I wish someone would. He isn’t a very nice person
Moyes has had a long managerial career and his enormous haul of trophies is one! His supporters in the media seem oblivious to this it would seem
Does anyone care what a muppet like Richard Krys thinks anyway ? maybe someone ought to tell him Moyes started the downward spiral of this club.
I don’t think he will do any good at Everton with or without his mates- he’s a Dinosaur.,
KEYS is deluded
Let’s see how many trophies Moyes delivers to Everton.
Maybe the Championship next season?
In 20+ years of management, he won one – and West Ham did that for him.
Richard Keys…. Numpty makes fool of himself yet again.
