Hammers new boy James Ward Prowse
David Moyes is finding it a Mission Impossible to stop talking about James Ward-Prowse inside and outside of press conferences.
There can be little doubt that JWP has been the star turn so far as the Hammers have turned in such a tremendous start to the season.
Almost from Day One of the transfer window it was a near open secret that he was the Number One priority in Moyes’ plans and it wasn’t hard to work out why.
With the Hammers so strong on set pieces he has going to bring a whole load of new ammunition to the table and so it has turned out.
And once again Moyes has been talking up the player who not only he, but everyone else, is applauding .
Discussing him at the press conference he made his admiration as clear as ever saying after our European win over TSC the manager said: ” ‘We’ve been a decent side from set pieces, maybe without the word “specialist”, but I think we’ve got a specialist now in Ward-Prowse. He’s contributing to us and our results at the moment.
Two of Ward-Prowse’s corners led to goals for Mohammed Kudus and Tomas Soucek against Backa Topola. ‘We need to get more free-kicks and more corners!’ Moyes continued.
‘He’s made big contributions in all the games. It’s been an amazing start. He’s a team player all round. He’s fit as a fiddle, he runs, he does the work. He does several jobs. We’re beginning to get a group of players we could be talking a lot about.’
