Moyes’ Benrahma demand

|

David Moyes has urged Said Benrahma to become a real difference maker for West Ham as the season reaches crunch point.

The Hammers are set to face Aston Villa on Sunday in a game that could have a big effect on the top four race.

The Irons go into the game in sixth place, five points off Manchester United in fourth due to the Red Devils’ 3-2 win over Spurs on Saturday.

The Hammers do have a game in hand, which will be played against Villa on Sunday, and Moyes believes that Benrahma could make a huge difference for the club before the end of the season.

Benrahma has made 24 Premier League appearances thus far this season and has scored five goals, while laying on four assists.

However, he hasn’t hit the net since the game against Watford on December 28th and has not registered an assist since New Year’s Day, in the win over Crystal Palace.

But Moyes has told the club’s official website“Saïd has shown exactly what he can do.

“He showed it in the early part of the season and he showed great improvement coming back because I think his first season was quite difficult and at the start of this year he was in really good form.

“The same things still apply – make the right decision, choose the right pass, at the right moment take the decision to take somebody on or retain possession. He’s important to us because he can make the difference. He’s a talented player and we need those kind of players to make a difference to get us over the line.”
