Moyes’ Chelsea expectations

|

David Moyes is taking little regard of Chelsea’s ‘struggle’ against Watford in midweek.

The Hammers manager is more than aware with the pressures on teams and squads at this time of the year as fixtures come crashing in.

And he believes that all those clubs involved in games had a very tough Wednesday as they were forced to make changes with the Chelsea boss turning things around significantly.

Speaking to reporters he said: “I think the Wednesday game was a tough game for everybody. I think for the midweek fixture, Thomas Tuchel made five or six changes.

A lot of clubs probably looked to do it because of the amount of games coming up. Also when you have a squad of players you have to keep your squad a part of it. I would probably expect Chelsea’s team to be close to the teams they put out.

Does it give us encouragement, how Watford played? It was good to see Watford have a good go and get close. We have to have a good go and hopefully get even closer.”
