Moyes confidence growing ahead of Villa

|
David Moyes has revealed he has no further injury problems as the team head for the midlands and Aston Villa at the weekend,
And he is naturally hoping that the important victory over Viborg in the second leg Euro Conference play off clash in Denmark will inspire the sort of confidence which will see the team pick up their first Premier League points of the season.
With Angelo Ogbonna fit and having looked particularly good in Denmark, Moyes has an option at central defence where Craig Dawson may be involved after a full week’s training.
Vladi Coufal will also be available after serving six day s on the side lines following his concussion in the last game against Brighton..
It’s clear from Moyes’ remarks that he is also being tempted to launch Gianluca Scamacca into his first start in the Premier League against a Villa team which has taken three points from their first three games.
Moyes told the pre-match presser: “We’re getting people back fit. I don’t think we’ve picked up any issues from our midweek encounter so hopefully we’ll all be okay.”

“I hope the lads take lots of confidence from last night because there were a lot of good things. We’re piecing a lot of things together at the moment and we’re getting ready for a tough game against Aston Villa.
“We’ll do everything we can to get started at Villa. We want to play well and we want to win. We need good performances to get results and, at the moment, the performances haven’t been good enough to get results. We’re seeing signs of it improving.”

Mickey sat out most of the viborg game so should be really fit and fresh for the villa game. There will come a time when Scammaca takes over though I think since Mickey has only scored about four goals in last thirty games or something. I see Mickey becoming a substitute that can be used either up front or on either wing since let’s be honest he’s a winger not a striker.

Minimum outcome has to be a goal and a point. With so many newbies it might take the whole of September before we see how we can really play.
