Moyes continues his hunt for a striker

David Moyes continues his hunt for a striker this summer transfer window after deciding against a bid for Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham.

The manager is now said to be considering a bid for Paul Onuachu, who is valued at around £17 million.

According to a report from The Athletic  Onuachu is the latest target for the manager in his quest to sign a new centre forward this summer. The Genk forward has been a subject of interest from a number of Premier League clubs this summer.

Onuachu scored a total of 29 league goals in just 33 appearances in the Jupiler Pro League last season, emerging as one of the highest goalscorers in Europe. He was the only player who was in contention to win the Golden Boot despite belonging to a lower-ranked league.

The Nigerian international has been linked with a move to Arsenal, earlier in the summer reports suggest the Hammers have moved ahead of them.
