Moyes dangerously close to Grant’s record

|

Former West Ham Avram Grant managed to last 47 games for the Hammers winning 15 games drawing 12 and losing 20.

David Moyes has managed 39 games for West Ham, winning 11, drawing 12 and losing 16.

Moyes has eight games to get four wins to just to match Avram’s record.

Last night a social media account with nearly 300,000 followers called @IndyKaila claimed ‘David Moyes in danger of getting sacked’ later adding claiming a World Exclusive by saying According to various sources, Rafael Benítez’s family want him to return from China. We understand he would be very keen on the West Ham job. WHUFC would need to pay his release clause but there are loop holes around the contract.”

Claret and Hugh understands neither claim is true. There is no clause in David Moyes’ contract if West Ham go down and he is entitled to full 18 months of his contract if the board did want to dispense with his services in the future.

Good for you James. Anything to ease the pain of a dreadful season. Mind you, I was slagged off on here when I did a similar thing & made a few quid a couple of seasons ago. I think some people have this weird idea that if you bet against your own side it makes it more likely they lose, so you are not a ”real fan’. Like wearing the same socks you wore when we won a game will mean we win again. I had half a mind to stick some money on before Christmas when the writing was on the wall & the odds would have been good. Hope you lose, but have a good night out on it if the worst happens!

Just put £100 on us going down, because it’s a certainly now. Might as well make some money off it, it wont help with the pain but its something.

I hope I lose my £100 bet, but lets me honest it’s the safest bet you could ever make.

This is the worst time I have had being a Westham supporter, we have had bad times before, but this is different. Never felt so low as a supporter, we are embarrassing. On and off the pitch, we are turning in to a joke club.

I honestly don’t know if I will go to another game this season its too much to take, and it costs a lot of money with food/drinks travel etc. Thinking I will put my ticket on ticket trader, try and get some money back to use on my season ticket renewal for the championship.

He’s had to pick up someone else’s mess now on two occasions.
Let him have s proper pre-season and assemble HIS team then let’s look at statistics that are fair.

    • Hammer64 says:

Well said Kenny. It’s not true that you can prove anything with statistics, but they do need to be looked at in context. Grant & Pellegrini both won big prizes with previous(big)clubs, but did that prove they are top managers? They were both disasters at West Ham, so does that make them both hopeless? I have no idea, but I know just looking at win ratios without taking a lot of other factors into account tells you nothing.

      • Hammerkip says:

Totally agree with you both ..give the bloke a chance hes done better than Pellegrini already imo, we got some tough games coming up so we need to see what
He can do with fit squad against teams around us

Pelle wasn’t a disaster ; we were doing fine in the league until Fabs injury and even in his final month we had good away wins at Chelsea and Southampton.(By comparison SA had three league wins in his final FIVE months !!).

I bet his family are interested with that Virius in China.
Time to drop this stuff about Benítez, turned us down three times. Maybe get a little bit of pride.
