Moyes defensive as Foxes and Qata approach

|
David Moyes made a point of declaring the Hammers must have got some things right in the league despite finding themselves in 15th position two points above the relegation spots.
The manager was in perhaps defensive mood as he discussed the clash against Leicester City tomorrow (Sat) whilst admitting that the team were not doing as well as we all hoped.
The Foxes arrive from the east midlands on a run of six wins since their poor start to the season and look to represent a very tough proposition.
But a Hammers victory would do wonders for confidence and have us all a lot more relaxed as we go into the winter break ahead of the event in Qata.
Moyes – as suggested by Dave Langton here yesterday- reckons that on the face of it, although the break may appear a bad thing it could turn out to be a welcome scenario of the Hammers.
He said: “If you look at Europe, you would say the break is a bad thing, but if you look at the league for us, it might be a good thing.”
And on the game, itself he added: “It’s as big as all the others. You get three points for it. But we want to finish this part of the season in good form. We know we need to do better in the Premier League.
“We’ve got the same points as them so we must have done something okay in the league. They are playing well so we’ll need to be our best.”
