Moyes delivers injury update on Irons trio

David Moyes claims there remains a question mark over the fitness of Said Benrahma as the weekend game approaches.

The Algeria international hobbled off in the last game at Norwich after he had scored twice and given that he looked in decent touch for the first time in a while it would be good to see him in the squad.

We were told earlier in the week that he had a reasonable  chance of making the game but Moyes will

make a decision late on having told his presser today that the player’s position was uncertain.

However, he made it clear that both Craig Dawson and Mikey Antonio were fit for a game which will have a crucial effect on our top six ambitions.

The manager is always loathe to give to much away and that was again the case today as he spoke on the last home game if the season.

He said: “We’ve probably for the first time had a full week to prepare and we’re looking forward to it. A tough game against a good team, but hopefully we’ll be ready to go come Sunday.

“Saïd [Benrahma] is a bit of a question mark – he’s out doing some light jogging so maybe not as bad as we thought – but I’m not quite sure if he’s fit. We’ll see tomorrow. It’s an ankle injury.
“[Michail] Antonio and [Craig] Dawson have trained today. I think they’ll be okay.”
