Moyes denies all talk of defender departure

|

David Moyes has made it crystal that despite all the “noise” Issa Diop will and never was going anywhere.

The media speculation sometimes reaches levels of absurdity which can only leave you smiling hopelessly at the desperation for hits.

Such as the case with Issa who was on his way to Manchester on Monday , Liverpool on Tuesday and north London on Wednesday.

He and Declan are always handy names to link with a move but the manager has finally put the record straight on the 23 year old who looks nailed on to take his place in the team against Manchester City.

Speaking to reporters Moyesie said: ” There was a lot of noise from people who thought there should be but he’s under contract here and I was never letting Issa go no matter what.

“Whether we were using him or not, there is potential there. He has been potential for a couple of years and he has to show his potential.

“He has just started to settle back in the team, we’ve got to give him the chance to do so. If we want to be a team around top half, middle half you’re always going to have competition for your jersey.”
