Moyes drops a heavy Antonio hint

David Moyes never gives a thing away on team selections of course but he has appeared to suggest that another run out for Michail Antonio was likely tomorrow evening (Tuesday).

The manager had  spoken in terms of him possibly being rested after the match against Burnley claiming the club had to be very careful with him.

But such is his importance to the team – the eleven look a different outfit with him up top – it may appear that the boss is ready to go with the fella again.

Commenting on the situation at his pre-match presser he declared: “I think if anything Mich’s managed himself within the games really well. He’s doing well but I know there’s another couple of gears for him to go up to in the game.
“He’s an important part of the team, you can see that from his goal on Saturday, so we’ve got to be careful with him. We’ll get him ready for the game. I think it’s a really quick set of games for lots of clubs.”
That sounds as though Mikey will be involved tomorrow evening against the Sam Allardyce managed West Brom who collected three points from their Black Country derby against Wolves on Saturday.
That will have given the Baggies a real boost but there will be no return for Grady Diangana who has a hammie as the visitors look to step up on the Wolves result.
It would be easy – given Allardyce’s style – to call the ‘respect the point’ issue into the discussion but the victory of Molineux ,which was achieved with the help of two penalties, suggests he may well be going for it which would probably suit our counter attacking game better anyway.
