Moyes drops big Bowen/Coufal update

David Moyes has confirmed that both Jarrod Bowen and Vlad Coufal COULD be fit to play Everton this weekend, but has stressed that he isn’t sure when exactly they will return.

The Hammers duo have both been battling separate injuries, with the pair missing out on call-ups to the England and Czech Republic squads as a result.

Bowen hasn’t played since the clash with Liverpool in early March, while Coufal has been absent since the draw with Leicester in February.

However, Moyes has now revealed that the two could both be fit to face the Toffees in a huge game for the Hammers.

Speaking before the encounter, as per Football.London, the Hammers boss said: “A chance both could make it. Both did a bit of training over the break so a chance both can be there. Not sure they are match ready yet. That’s my only concern.”

And Moyes has also confirmed that Bowen’s return would be a major boost to the morale at the London Stadium.

He added: “I expect him to be on the pitch in coming weeks but don’t know about this week. He’s a miss for us but we’ve had periods where missed other key players. Hopefully he’s not too far away.”

A win for the Hammers this weekend would move them 51 points, level with fifth-placed Spurs, who play Newcastle on Sunday after the Irons play Everton.
