Moyes drops big Paqueta update

David Moyes says Lucas Paqueta could be included in the West Ham squad to face Crystal Palace.

He hasn’t been seen since injuring his shoulder against Southampton and has been absent for the Europa Conference League games, as well as the Premier League clash with Liverpool.

He could now be back in the team for the clash with Crystal Palace, in what could be a huge boost to the Hammers.

Moyes admits he doesn’t know if the player will be fit to start the game but it seems that he will be back on the teamsheet.

Speaking to reporters ahead of the clash with the Eagles, as per the club’s website, the Irons boss said: “Lucas Paquetá has been training so he’s probably ready to be included in the squad. Whether he’s ready to play we don’t know, but he should be available.

“We’re starting to get players back. Nayef Aguerd played his first 90 minutes last night and that’s great too.”

Paqueta has yet to truly settle during his time at West Ham but he has shown signs of getting to his best, and has formed an excellent partnership with striker Gianluca Scamacca.

Ahead of the clash with Palace, his potential return is superb news.
